Airfield of the CSVVA

The airfield of Challes Les Eaux is slightly restricted only to aeronautical sports. An aircraft homebuilder club and the soaring club share the airfield with a 1200 meters tarmac and a 800 meters grass track. The 38 gliders club fleet is protected in a large hangar which also may host visitors machines.

This big fleet does reinforce the CSVVA rank among the most efficient clubs in France. For more than 5 years, CSVVA is ranked number 2 regarding the overall flying activity and the new graduated pilots number and for miles flawn during the permanent cross country competition.

If our results are so excellent over the last 10 years, we can also thank the spirit and the vitality of the group of volonteers who manage the club along with the excellent job done by only three professional pilots. Our rates are very reasonable and the weather conditions are good enough to insure excellent soaring conditions.

The CSVVA club welcomes foreign pilots with or without gliders. We offer youth hotel class bedrooms or a camping site for those who want to stay on the airfield. The clubhouse has a restaurant for breakfast and lunches hosted by a professional "chef" helped by young volonteers.

If you are willing to come and fly in Challes Les Eaux, you must book in advance for getting a place.

All request for informations must be (snail)mailed to our office where the big boss will try to realize miracle to fullfill all the needs. Allocation is done on a first-come first-serve basis, so don't wait !
